Coccidiosis, a parasitic disease caused by Eimeria protozoa that parasitizes intestinal tissues of chicken, poses a challenge to the development of the poultry industry. circRNAs are a class of circular RNA macromolecules crucial in the immune response to pathogens. Previous studies have shown that gga-miR-2954 inhibits the inflammatory response to Eimeria tenella (E.

We evaluated the effectiveness of a pilot cascade-model training programme for HCWs in remote areas of Pakistan.
Methods: The training programme comprised three phases.
Background: Myosin heavy chain 9-related diseases (MYH9-RDs) are rare autosomal dominant platelet disorders characterized by macrothrombocytopenia and leukocyte inclusion bodies. They can manifest with nonhematological complications, including deafness, nephropathy, or cataracts. Due to its rarity and its similar clinical presentation with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), MYH9-RD is often misdiagnosed as ITP, leading to inappropriate treatment and delayed management of complications.

It involves infiltration of lidocaine with adrenaline to the operative region ensuring a good visual field owing to the vasoconstrictive effects of epinephrine. It has numerous advantages over traditional anaesthetic (TA) for flexor tendon repairs including testing of tendon strength on table as well as immediate revision of the repair if needed.

With growing advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning models are being utilized for preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative neurological decision-making. We aimed to compile published literature in one format and evaluate the quality of level 1a evidence currently available.

Background: Postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is frequently observed after cardiac surgery, and duration of Bypass Time (CPB) is an independent risk factor for postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF). The main objective of the current study was to compare new onset Postoperative Atrial Fibrillation (POAF) in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft with and without long CPB time.
Methods: A prospective comparative study design was used and conducted at the Cardiac Surgery Department in Bahawalpur- Pakistan which is a tertiary care health centre for the period of April 2020 to February 2021, a total of 110 patients were enrolled after getting institutional approval and informed consent from patients.
Introduction Medical oxygen is a drug and, as such, must be correctly prescribed according to British Thoracic Society (BTS) guidelines. These guidelines state that a valid prescription must include a target oxygen saturation range, and that all inpatients should have a valid oxygen prescription. A 2008 BTS audit revealed only 32% of patients receiving oxygen had valid prescriptions, and a 2015 re-audit showed improvement to 57.

Despite the prevalence of these interventions and recent advancements in iNPH diagnostic processes, there is limited up-to-date evidence regarding surgical outcomes.
Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to analyse the effects of CSF diversion surgeries among iNPH patients.
Surgical safety remains a critical aspect of modern healthcare, particularly as the number of surgical procedures continues to rise, placing greater demands on resources and increasing the potential for errors. In response to this challenge, various mitigation strategies have been implemented to improve operative outcomes. One such strategy, introduced by the WHO in 2008, is the Surgical Safety Checklist.

The patient had a single-chamber permanent pacemaker with two RV leads, one of which was previously trapped or "jailed" after a bioprosthetic tricuspid valve replacement. Complete transvenous lead extraction including the chronically retained jailed RV lead was achieved via laser extraction assisted by concomitant traction from a superior left subclavian and inferior right femoral venous approach.

Aim Of The Study: This study aimed to mimic the effects of passive tobacco smoke (PTS) on neonates exposed throughout the gestational period.
This narrative review explores the burgeoning field of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven Breast Cancer (BC) survival prediction, emphasizing the transformative impact on patient care. From machine learning to deep neural networks, diverse models demonstrate the potential to refine prognosis accuracy and tailor treatment strategies. The literature underscores the need for clinician integration and addresses challenges of model generalizability and ethical considerations.

Methods The data were retrieved from our tertiary hepatobiliopancreatic (HPB) center database for all patients who had an LC as a treatment for symptomatic GBPs between 2013 and 2022. The pre-operative US and postoperative histology reports were reviewed.

Among the plausible explanations, HCV resistant variant may be one of the causes among the several other viral and host factors implicated in cases who do not achieve cure. Ever since the approval of licensed DAAs in 2014, focus has been mainly on high cure rates.

Subsequently, a comparative analysis of cecal microorganisms among control, resistant, and susceptible groups as well as between different periods following the challenge was conducted using metagenomic sequencing technology. The results showed that the abundance of opportunistic pathogens, such as , , and in the susceptible group and and in the resistant group, was significantly higher on day 27 post-inoculation (PI) (the recovery period) than on day 5 PI (the infection period).

Background: Congestive heart failure (HF) is a leading cause of hospitalization and readmission, leading to increased health care utilization and cost. This is complicated by high incidence, prevalence, and hospitalization rates among racial and ethnic minorities, with a widening in the mortality disparity gap. Remote patient monitoring (RPM) has the potential to proactively engage patients after discharge to optimize medication management and intervene to avoid rehospitalization.

This paper aims to establish evidence-based guidelines tailored to the constraints of such countries. An expert panel comprising neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, radiation oncologists, neuropathologists, and pediatricians collaborated to develop these guidelines, considering the specific challenges of pediatric brain tumor care in Pakistan.

The current dearth of structured paediatric neurosurgery training programmes in LMICs requires multidisciplinary coordination; neurosurgeons play certain key roles, as discussed in this article, in ensuring safe and effective care for paediatric neuro-oncology patients. This document intends to elaborate through illustrative cases of the technical and structural nuances required by neurosurgeons in LMICs to provide appropriate surgical care.
