Group Prenatal Care for Women Receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder in Pregnancy: An Interprofessional Approach.

Opioid use disorder among pregnant women is common and rapidly increasing nationwide. Group prenatal care is an innovative alternative to individual care for pregnant women and has been shown to improve women's and health care providers' satisfaction and adherence to care. We describe a novel group prenatal care program colocated in an opioid treatment program that integrates prenatal care, substance use disorder counseling, and medication-assisted treatment.
