A case of pneumonia in a critical patient.

The case of a patient who had recently undergone renal transplantation, and showed symptoms referable to pulmonary infection, is discussed. Chest X-ray showed the presence of bilateral diffuse reticulonodular interstitial involvement. For better characterization HRCT was performed.

Clinicoradiologic approach to a case of acute pancreatitis.

A case of a female patient admitted to the emergency department for the onset of acute abdominal pain and increased amylasemia, is discussed. In the suspicion of acute pancreatitis, abdominal spiral CT was performed. CT findings of acute pancreatitis were evaluated to confirm the diagnosis based on clinicolaboratory results, on staging to establish the prognosis and rule out complications.

Lung metastases from rectal adenocarcinoma: about the best diagnostic strategy.

A case of suspected lung metastases from colorectal adenocarcinoma is discussed. A diagnostic approach for follow-up of resected patients is proposed. It includes available diagnostic imaging for the characterization of metastatic pulmonary nodules together with methods for the differential diagnosis between primary malignant nodules and benign nodules.
