Assessment of quality of life, pain, depression, and body-image in breast cancer patients in neoadjuvant therapy.

Breast cancer is the leading cancer type among women globally, and its chemotherapy often results in multiple side effects, compromising the patient's quality of life. Our study aimed to analyze the impact of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on the quality of life in Brazilian women with breast cancer within the public health system. This research was a one-year, observational, longitudinal study, conducted at a charitable health facility, examining the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on these women's quality of life.

Serum levels of vitamin B12 are not related to low bone mineral density in postmenopausal Brazilian women.

Introduction: Osteoporosis and vitamin B12 deficiency are conditions with an increasing prevalence over time. It has been described an association between low serum vitamin B12, osteoporosis and increased risk of bone fractures, but the studies are heterogeneous and the results are controversial.

Objective: To investigate the association between plasma levels of vitamin B12 and bone mineral density in a group of asymptomatic women after menopause.
