: We aimed to compare cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) utilization and radiation exposure during prostatic artery embolization (PAE) procedures on two different angiography systems. : PAEs performed by a single interventionalist between January 2018 and October 2020 on two multivendor angiography systems (AS1 and AS2) at a single center were retrospectively evaluated. Imaging techniques included CBCT acquisition when possible, predominantly from the distal aorta in AS1 and from the bilateral internal iliac arteries in AS2 (Discovery IGS 740, GE HealthCare, Chicago, IL).

The HydroPearl Microsphere (Terumo Interventional Systems) is an embolic agent approved for UAE and other embolization procedures. The purpose of this article is to describe our initial experience with HydroPearl for UAE in patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids.

Materials And Methods: Ninety-three patients (mean age ± standard deviation, 72 years ± 8; range, 56-88 years) with EVAR and type II endoleak were included in a single-institution retrospective study conducted between March 1, 2005, and December 31, 2018. ENV, ENV, change of volume (ENV), and percentage of ENV and ENV in aneurysm sac volume (ASV) (ENV/ASV%, ENV/ASV%, respectively) were measured on first postoperative CTA images.
US-guided chemical component separation (CCS) of the abdominal musculature using botulinum toxin A can facilitate the surgical repair of large or complex hernias. Eight patients (2 women and 6 men with median age of 54 years [range, 34-78 years]) underwent preoperative US-guided CCS with hydrodissection before planned surgical repair of large or complex ventral (n = 4), inguinal (n = 2), and flank (n = 2) hernias by 2 interventional radiologists. Technical success rate of US-guided CCS procedures was 100%, and all patients achieved surgical closure a mean 34.

Method And Materials: This was a retrospective review of patients who had translumbar approach type 2 endoleak repairs using either Trufill® or Histoacryl®. Patients were included if they underwent a technically successful type 2 endoleak repair via a translumbar approach with Trufill® or Histoacryl® n-BCA.
Background And Aims: Radiopaque drug-eluting beads are an emerging treatment option for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The primary objective of this study was to evaluate overall disease and target tumor response of non-resectable HCC after TACE with a doxorubicin-loaded radiopaque microsphere.
Methods: Data were abstracted from records of patients with unresectable HCC who received TACE with doxorubicin-loaded radiopaque LC Bead LUMI microspheres at one of five United States centers between February 2016 - November 2017.
Purpose: To determine predictors of outcomes for patients who undergo computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous abdominal or pelvic drainage catheter placement and to identify which patients benefit from fluoroscopic drainage catheter interrogation (abscessogram).
Materials And Methods: A retrospective review of 383 patients (mean, 52 years old; range 8-89 years old; 158 males: 225 females) who underwent 442 CT-guided procedures and 489 catheter placements for fluid collections in the abdomen or pelvis from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2016 was performed. Variables including underlying disease, fluid location, number of collections drained, number of catheter exchanges and follow-up abscessograms performed, catheter size, and fistula detection were analyzed to determine factors associated with fistula formation and increased catheter dwell time.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) arises in the context of cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections, and the diagnosis is often made at advanced stages. Because early-stage diagnosis improves survival, guidelines recommend screening patients at risk for HCC, such as patients with cirrhosis. However, adherence to screening programs is suboptimal.

Patients often are treated with medication and offered surgery for persistent symptoms. Transurethral resection of the prostate is considered the traditional standard of care, but several minimally invasive surgical treatments also are offered.

Conclusion: The aim of this review is to describe the complex hemodynamic alterations to blood flow caused by the deployment of antireflux devices and the resulting changes to embolic distribution.

Prostatic artery embolization can be an extremely challenging procedure often giving the operator the sense of "being in trouble." This feeling can occur during different stages of the procedure including initial identification of the prostatic artery, catheterization of the prostatic artery, and prevention of non-target ischemia via extra-prostatic anastomoses during embolization. This brief guide provides techniques developed from prior experience with these frustrating situations that could potentially help the prostatic artery embolization operator "get out of trouble.

Twelve patients underwent balloon-occlusion prostatic artery embolization (PAE) at a single center. Bilateral prostatic artery catheterization was achieved in all patients, but unilateral embolization was performed in 1 patient as a result of the presence of a prostatic arteriovenous fistula. Mean International Prostate Symptom Score and quality-of-life score decreased by 15 ± 7 (P < .

Objective: Our goal was to quantify the radiation dose associated with pediatric CT-guided drain placement and follow-up drain evaluations in order to estimate effective dose.
Materials And Methods: We searched the electronic medical record and picture archiving and communication system (PACS) to identify all pediatric (<18 years old) CT-guided drain placements performed between January 2008 and December 2013 at our institution.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence and clinical significance of renal infarcts after fenestrated endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (FEVAR).
Materials And Methods: All patients who underwent FEVAR with unenhanced and contrast-enhanced CT angiography during a 4-year period were retrospectively reviewed. Two staff radiologists reviewed pre- and post-FEVAR CT examinations for the presence of renal infarcts.
