The configuration of implant-supported prostheses is considered to influence the magnitude of stress concentrations, affecting their survival rate. The purpose of this study is to determine, through strain gauge measurements during load application, the dispersion and magnitude of strain concentrations in different implant-supported prosthesis designs. All designs matched those commonly used in posterior partially edentulous states.

Purpose: To evaluate and compare bacterial growth on zirconia vs titanium healing caps.
Materials And Methods: Streptococcus sanguinis (Ss) and Ftreptococcus nucleatum (Fn) were grown on titanium and zirconia healing caps that were fixed to the cover of a 96-well microtiter plate. A drop (10 μL) of bacterial suspension was placed on each healing cap and allowed to dry for 1 hour at 37°C.
Objective: A re-pneumatization phenomenon was recorded in sinuses grafted with different materials. The specific aims of this paper were to assess the dental implant survival rate and the behavior of marginal and apical bone remodeling around dental implants placed following sinus augmentation.
