Objective: In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we assessed the impact of functional exercise training on physical functioning parameters in older adults 60 years and older.
Method: Databases including PubMed, MEDLINE, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus, and Cochrane Library were systematically searched.
Results: Sixteen articles were included.
This study aimed to compare the effects of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Moderate-Intensity Continuous Training (MICT) on glycemic control, beta-cell function, and aerobic fitness in women with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Thirty-six women with T2DM were assigned equally to HIIT, MICT, and control (CON) groups. Participants in the exercise cohorts underwent a 12-week training regimen (three sessions per week), while the CON group maintained an inactive lifestyle.

Background: Physical inactivity and an imbalanced diet could lead to some cardio metabolic risk factors.
Objective: The objective of this meta-analysis was to investigate the effects of lifestyle modification on inflammatory indicators and waist circumference (WC) in overweight/obese subjects with metabolic syndrome (MS).
Data Sources: A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE, Cochrane, Google Scholar, and Web of Science.
Background: Increments in inflammatory indicators and low levels of physical activity are correlated to the expansion of the metabolic syndrome (MetS).
Objective: The purpose of this study was to establish if exercise training ameliorates inflammatory status in MetS patients.
Data Sources: PubMed, CINAHL, and Medline, Google Scholar, and Scopus databases and reference lists of included studies were searched.
Effectiveness of exercise on bone mass is closely related to the mode of exercise training regimen, as well as the study design. This study aimed to determine the effect of different modes of exercise training on lumbar spine and femoral neck bone mineral density (BMD) in older postmenopausal women (PMW). PubMed, CINAHL, Medline, Google Scholar, and Scopus databases and reference lists of included studies were searched up until March 25, 2019 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated the effectiveness of various modes of exercise training in PMW.
