Background: Development of multidrug resistance in Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) makes treatment of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) a major challenge. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of trans-resveratrol (t-RSV) at a subinhibitory concentration (sub-MIC-t-RSV) on phenotypic and genotypic expression of virulence factors of clinical isolates of UPEC and develop a nanoformulation of t-RSV. Fifty-five clinical UPEC strains were investigated for the presence of virulence factors by phenotypic methods and PCR detection of virulence genes.

It is crucial to create novel treatments to tackle bacterial resistance. Trans-resveratrol and curcumin are naturally occurring phenolic compounds, whose effects on MRSA virulence are the subject of this investigation.

Among the diverse set of virulence factors that possesses, secreted toxins play a particularly preeminent role in defining its virulence. In this work, we aimed to facilitate the development of novel strategies utilizing natural compounds to lower 's toxin production and consequently enhance therapeutic approaches.

This study aimed to assess the quality and safety of the most common cosmetic preparations. To select the products to be tested, a cross-sectional survey was distributed featuring the most used types and brands of products.

Milk of dairy animals contains substantial quantities of antibiotics that have harmful effects on health. It is therefore necessary to test commercially available milk using immunological, chromatographic, or microbiological methods to confirm the absence of antibiotic residues.

This study focused on the utilisation of isolate S12 purified from waste discharge soil in the biological synthesis of silver (Ag), selenium (Se), and zinc oxide (ZnO) NPs. The isolate S12 was related to according to 16S rRNA sequence analysis, morphological characteristics, and biochemical reactions.

In spite of the role of integrons as the main contributor to multidrug resistance worldwide, their prevalence in Egypt is still underestimated. In this work, we announce the emergence of class 2 and 3 integrons among Enterobacteriacae isolates from Mansoura University Hospitals. Ninety-three clinical isolates were obtained from different clinical sources, among which 70% of E.

Inhibition of QS signals potentially suppresses microbial infections. Antimicrobial properties of Streptomyces have been extensively studied, however, less is known about quorum sensing inhibitory (QSI) activities of Streptomyces.
