Antibacterial activity of 1 % Roselle flower nano-emulsion extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa) against peri-implantitis-related bacteria on orthodontic mini-implants: An in vitro study.

Objective: The orthodontic mini-implant (OMI) failure often occurs due to the accumulation of peri-implantitis bacteria surrounding it, which results in a stable, resistant form of absolute skeletal anchorage during orthodontic treatment. Administering doxycycline may be the solution, but long-term side effects result in antibiotic resistance. Roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) possess beneficial active phytochemical substances, which may have potential as an OMI peri-implantitis alternative therapy.

Anti-Peri-implantitis Bacteria's Ability of Robusta Green Coffee Bean (Coffea Canephora) Ethanol Extract: An In Silico and In Vitro Study.

Objective:  This study was aimed to investigate RGCBE extract as antioxidant and anti-peri-implantitis bacteria through study and its potential as antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antibone resorption, and proosteogenic through study.

Objective:  The aim of this article is to analyze and compare the presence of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of and in class II and class III Javanese populations.

Objectives:  Vertical proportions of the face are important determining factors for diagnosis and planning appropriate orthodontic treatment. Orthodontic patients have different vertical and sagittal skeletal discrepancies, as well as associated varying degrees of dentoalveolar compensations. Dentoalveolar is a functional component of the jaw; it plays a role in occlusal dynamics and forms sagittal and vertical maxilla-mandibula relationships.

The Importance of the Occlusal Plane in Predicting Better Facial Soft Tissue in Class II Malocclusion in Ethnic Javanese.

Objectives:  Class II malocclusion is largely due to a retrognathic mandible. Mandibular rotation is closely related to changes in the occlusal plane during growth. The problems in the occlusal plane could cause disadvantages in the soft tissue profile in Class II malocclusion, presenting treatment challenges for an orthodontist.

Background: The prevalence of malocclusion cases in the orthodontic specialist clinic in Airlangga University's Dental Hospital in Surabaya, Indonesia, in 2014-2016 is fairly high, as 55.34% of the occurrences were identified as class II skeletal malocclusion. This type of skeletal malocclusion, which is usually recognized in adults, occurs as a result of variation during growth and development.

The Occlusal Plane Inclination Analysis for Determining Skeletal Class III Malocclusion Diagnosis.

Introduction: The occlusal plane is very important in the stomatognathic and aesthetic dentofacial system. Manipulation of the occlusal plane plays an important role in class III malocclusion correction. For this reason, the strategy in establishing the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan becomes more complex, so a more comprehensive analysis of the occlusal plane inclination as a parameter of diagnosis is needed for more effective and efficient treatments.

Introduction: With conventional anchorage, it is usually hard to accomplish a satisfactory result with an absolute anchorage, and this limitation could be resolved by the usage of mini-screw. The successful rate of miniscrew usage depends on its stability, which was determined by its length, bone density, cortical bone thickness, the insertion technique, the insertion angle, and the applied loads.

Background: Two types of orthodontic elastics exist based on their material, latex and nonlatex, each of which has different properties in clinical use. Some of the differences include their initial force and force degradation over time. This study was conducted to compare the force changes in both materials.

Cephalometric Characteristic of Skeletal Class II Malocclusion in Javanese Population at Universitas Airlangga Dental Hospital.

Introduction: To describe the cephalometric characteristic of skeletal Class II malocclusion in Javanese Population at Universitas Airlangga Dental Hospital.

Methods: A total of 118 lateral cephalograms of preorthodontic patients with skeletal Class II malocclusion were obtained from Universitas Airlangga Dental Hospital. The lateral cephalograms were analyzed using digital cephalometric analysis to determine the ANB, mandibular length, facial axis, Y-axis, sella to nasion-mandibular plane (SN-MP), and lower anterior facial height (LAFH).
