An Update on Perinatal Cannabis Use.

Since the legalization of non-medical cannabis, many questions have arisen regarding cannabis use during pregnancy. Obstetrical care providers can minimize the harms of prenatal cannabis use using evidence-based information. This commentary describes populations at highest risk for use, the predictors of use, the reasons birthing people continue or stop using cannabis during pregnancy, and short- and long-term outcomes for infants and children exposed to cannabis prenatally.
