Objectives: This research was aimed at investigating the effects of various concentrations of nanoextract as a piezoelectric scaler coolant on gingivitis healing in a Wistar rat model.

Methods: A piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler coolant was made from nanoextract through ionic gelation. Experiments were conducted in 45 adult male Wistar rats divided into three groups treated with nanoextract coolant (25%, 30%, and 35% concentrations), and negative and positive control groups.

Moreover, it is known that Indonesia is one of the herbal centers of the world, with an abundance of unexplored sources of PDENs.
