The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on access to mental health services and socioeconomic inequalities in Italy.

Objective: Comprehensive evidence on the impact of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on the use of mental health services is scarce. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the access to mental health services in Italy and to assess the socioeconomic and citizenship inequalities for the same outcome.

Methods: A population-based longitudinal open cohort of residents aged ≥ 10 years was established in three large centers covering about 6 million beneficiaries (nearly 10% of the entire population) of the Italian National Health Service (NHS) from 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2021.

Actomyosin tension promotes the phosphorylation of mitochondrial elongation factor 1 (MIEF1), limiting the recruitment of dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1) at mitochondria, as well as peri-mitochondrial F-actin formation and mitochondrial fission.

However, a pregnancy-specific GRI (pGRI), tailored to the tighter target glucose range required during pregnancy, has not been established.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated clinical, metabolic, and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) data across pregnancy in women with insulin-treated diabetes, managed between September 2021 and March 2024 at the University Hospital of Pisa.

However, how SCs become activated and drive the tissue remodeling essential for skin repair is still poorly understood. Here, by developing a mouse model allowing lineage tracing and basal cell lineage ablation, we monitor SC fate and tissue dynamics during regeneration using confocal and intravital imaging.

Extract Abrogates Chlorpyrifos-Induced Toxicity in Zebrafish Larvae.

In this study, the expression and implication of acid-sensing ion channels 2 and 4 (ASIC2 and ASIC4) in the gonadal sex differentiation of (), subjected to increasing water temperatures during gonadal development, were evaluated. Two groups were selected: a control group (CG), in which the average water temperature was maintained at 15 °C and increased to 20 °C in 20 days until weaning; and an experimental group (EG), in which the water temperature was retained at 15 °C for 60 days; thereafter, the temperature was increased daily by 0.5 °C until it reached 20 °C up to the weaning time.
