Background: This study aimed to evaluate the suitability of using drain water as a source of irrigation and its effects along with salicylic acid on morphological, anatomical, physico-chemical as well as yield attributes of potato. For this study, potato tubers were grown in pots and irrigated with different concentrations of drain water. Salicylic acid treatments vis.

Article Synopsis
  • Researchers are exploring ways to remove organic pollutants from water using nanomaterials, which also act as antibiotics against bacteria like E. coli.
  • The study focuses on synthesizing molybdenum trioxide (MoO) nanorods doped with yttrium to enhance their properties for these applications.
  • Advanced techniques showed changes in the structural and optical properties of the nanomaterials, revealing their effectiveness in reducing dye contamination and inhibiting bacterial growth while also demonstrating potential against key enzymes in fatty acid biosynthesis.

In present study, control sized cadmium sulphide (CdS) quantum dots (QDs) and cellulose nanocrystals grafted polyvinylpyrrolidone (CNC-g-PVP) doped CdS QDs were synthesized via co-precipitation. The suggested pathway is fruitful in throwing out organic pollutants like methylene blue (MB) from industrial water and bactericidal applications. A series of characterization techniques were used to determine the structural, optical and morphological qualities of prepared samples.
