Objective: This study investigates the association between phenotypic age acceleration (PAA) and all-cause and cause-specific mortality in obese individuals.
Methods: Data were drawn from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 1999 and 2018, including 9,925 obese adults (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m). PAA, defined as phenotypic age exceeding chronological age, was assessed using clinical biomarkers.
Objective: The study aims to explore the relationship between lipoprotein lipase variants and hyperlipidemic acute pancreatitis (HLAP) in the southeastern Chinese population.
Subjects And Methods: In total, 80 participants were involved in this study (54 patients with HLAP and 26 controls). All coding regions and intron-exon boundaries of the gene were sequenced.

Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5) is involved in serum triglyceride (TG) regulation. Several studies have reported that the rs651821 locus in the gene is associated with serum TG levels in the Chinese population. However, no research has been performed regarding the association between the variants of rs651821 and the risk of hyperlipidemic acute pancreatitis (HLAP).

Methods: Healthy, specifically pathogen free SD, rats were selected and divided into 4 groups: Normal group (normal rats, without any treatment), Model group (rats received dual antiplatelet therapy: aspirin and clopidogrel), Teprenone group (rats received dual antiplatelet therapy and teprenone) and Pantoprazole group (rats received dual antiplatelet therapy and pantoprazole). The gastric mucosal blood flow, ulcer index, gastric gel mucus thickness, the levels of gastrin (Gas), prostaglandin (PG), prostaglandin E (PGE), endothelin-1 (ET-1) tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 in serum, the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) in the gastric mucosa, as well as the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the rat's stomach were measured.
