With the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the residency programs were required to conduct virtual/online interviews for recruitment of candidates for their residency programs. While both programs and the candidates had challenges, with the abrupt transition of interviews to online platform, there were some perceived benefits by the applicants. This paper will further review the pros and cons, the challenges and the changes brought about by the online transformation of residency interviews and conclude with tips to the residency applicants and lessons learnt from this transition.

Background: Multidisciplinary orthopaedic oncology conferences are important in developing the treatment plan for patients with suspected orthopaedic bone and soft tissue tumors, involving physicians from several services. Past studies have shown the clinical value of these conferences; however, the impact of radiology input on the management plan and time cost for radiology to staff these conferences has not been fully studied.

Questions/purposes: (1) Does radiology input at multidisciplinary conference help guide clinical management and improve clinician confidence? (2) What is the time cost of radiology input for a multidisciplinary conference?

Methods: This prospective study was conducted from October 2020 to March 2022 at a tertiary academic center with a sarcoma center.

Ectopic parathyroid adenomas are common in the context of hyperparathyroidism and represent a unique challenge in terms of localization and treatment. Often they are related to higher serum calcium levels than those associated with parathyroid adenomas in typical locations.
