Chromoblastomycosis is an uncommon subcutaneous mycosis seen in the tropical and subtropical regions that is caused by traumatic inoculation of a specific group of dematiaceous fungi through the skin. It is a therapeutic challenge due to its recalcitrant nature. Although there currently is no evidence-based treatment protocol, itraconazole and terbinafine are considered drugs of first choice.
