In this study, a chemical precipitation approach was adopted to produce a photocatalyst based on bismuth tungstate BiWO for enhanced and environmentally friendly organic pollutant degradation. Various tools such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, were employed to assess the structural and morphological properties. Hence, the XRD profiles showed a well crystallized BiWO orthorhombic phase.

We first optimized the key parameters of the EC process using aluminum (Al) and iron (Fe) electrodes. Experimental results show EC process is efficient under optimal conditions.

As physico-chemical properties are synthesis-dependent, this review explores different synthesis strategies based the solvent and solvent-free synthesis of zeolitic imidazole framework. Accordingly, the effect of several parameters on the ZIF-8 synthesis were discussed including solvent, deprotonating agents, precursors ratio is delivered.

Here, we reveal that such vortices can be identified based on the frequency-domain representation of Lagrangian trajectories. We use Fourier analysis to convert particles' trajectories from their time domain to a presentation in the frequency domain.

It is associated with physical structures of oceanic fronts which influence the biological productivity. The study of these coherent structures in connection with chlorophyll concentration data is of fundamental importance for understanding the spatial distributions of the plankton.

The aim of this study was to assess the physicians' practices regarding the prescription of long-term corticosteroid therapy.
Methods: In May 2010, we realized a cross-sectional study among physicians in Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat.
Untreated effluents from textile industries are usually highly coloured and contain a considerable amount of contaminants and pollutants. Stringent environmental regulation for the control of textile effluents is enforced in several countries. Previous studies showed that many techniques have been used for the treatment of textile wastewater, such as adsorption, biological treatment, oxidation, coagulation and/or flocculation, among them coagulation is one of the most commonly used techniques.

To circumvent these problems more efficient methods and techniques of local delivery are being developed. The purposes of this study were: (1) to investigate the pharmacokinetics of intraocular penetration of hemisuccinate methyl prednisolone (HMP) after its delivery using the transscleral Coulomb controlled iontophoresis (CCI) system applied to the eye or after intravenous (i.

Purpose: Reis-Buckler's corneal dystrophy consist of superficial reticulated opacities with recurring attacks of corneal erosion. Lamellar and penetrating keratoplasties were the traditional surgical means of improving recurrent erosions and vision but the dystrophy recurs following surgery. Phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) is now the standard method of managing this anterior corneal disease when intervention is required.

Material And Methods: Two groups of 12 patients had a vitrectomy for epiretinal membrane associated or not to a phacoemulsification. A fundus fluorescein angiography was performed pre and postoperatively and at least 3 months after the surgery.
Purpose: Evaluation of clinical tolerance and scanning electron microscopy study of the bio-colonisation of a porous ceramical alumina implant after evisceration of the rabbit. Preliminary results.
Methods: Sixteen white New Zealand rabbits were eviscerated.
We report a case of corneal hydrops in a young patient with unremarkable ophthalmologic history or intercurrent identified pathology. Different etiologies of corneal hydrops are discussed.

Material And Methods: This is a retrospective study on 108 cases of vasculitis of retina admitted in the ophthalmology department, for a 5-year period (1987-1993). Our patients had a complete ophthalmological examination : fluorescine angiography, colour vision, general examination and biological study.
We treated 123 patients with Behçet's disease during a period of 10 years (1984-1993). The ocular lesions include uveal lesions especially the posterior lesions and vascular retinal. Uveitis was total in 72% of cases.
