Fractal dimension (FD) is used to quantify brain structural complexity and is more sensitive to morphological variability than other cortical measures. However, the effects of normal aging and sex on FD are not fully understood. In this study, age- and sex-related differences in FD were investigated in a sample of 448 adults age of 19-80 years from a Chinese dataset.
