Effect of Autologous Bone Marrow Stem Cell Therapy in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis: A Meta-analysis.

Although autologous bone marrow stem cell (BMSC) transplantation is an effective treatment for liver cirrhosis, there are few reports describing the optimal delivery route and number of injected BMSCs. A literature search was conducted using PubMed, ISI Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and EBSCO. A meta-analysis was performed to assess the effect of BMSCs on liver and coagulation function indices.
