Background Infantile colic is excessive crying in infants who are otherwise healthy and whose origin is unknown. It is closely linked to maternal depression and is a risk factor for shaken baby syndrome and early cessation of breastfeeding. This study aims to assess mothers' knowledge and attitude about infantile colic in the Jazan region, as well as their knowledge of the causes, and the factors that affect their understanding.
