Photocatalytic N fixation has emerged as one of the most useful ways to produce NH, a useful asset for chemical industries and a carbon-free energy source. Recently, significant progress has been made toward designing efficient photocatalysts to achieve this objective. Here, we introduce a highly active type-II heterojunction fabricated via integrating two-dimensional (2D) nanosheets of exfoliated g-CN with nickel-chromium layered double hydroxide (NiCr-LDH).

The alterations in physical property across different space groups of the same material are sometimes conveniently reflected by the crystal structure as a function of temperature. However, mirroring the physical property and crystal parameters over a wide range of temperatures within the same space group is quite unusual. Remarkably, Rietveld analyses of the X-ray diffraction patterns of PrMn0.

Pd NP concentration guided the self-assembly of core-shell Pd@SiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) into microcubes. The Pd NPs were stacked by molten dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) to create the SiO2 envelope. The microcubes demonstrated improved leaching resistance in heterogeneous catalysis over a conventional porous support.
