This study presents the direct -alkylation of aromatic amines using greener primary alcohols as alkyl donors, catalyzed by base metal-derived Co(II) catalysts the borrowing hydrogen (BH) method. Two well-defined phosphine-free NNN-type pincer ligands (L1 and L2) were synthesized and utilized to prepare cobalt(II) catalysts C1 and C2. Objective: Utilizing prompt gammas in preclinical pinhole-collimated PET avoids image degradation due to positron range blurring and photon down scatter, enables multi-isotope PET and can improve counting statistics for low-abundance positron emitters. This was earlier reported for 124I, 89Zr and simultaneous 124I -18F PET using the VECTor scanner (MILabs, The Netherlands), demonstrating sub-mm resolution despite long positron ranges. The aim of the present study is to investigate if such sub-mm PET imaging is also feasible for a large variety of other isotopes including those with extremely high energy prompt gammas (>1 MeV) or with complex emission spectra of prompt gammas.

Exploring the effects of electron donor (D) and acceptor (A) functional groups in tuning the condensed state properties has been a challenging yet efficient approach to reveal promising materials for cutting-edge applications. Herein, a series of boron-nitrogen (BN) incorporated organic congeners (NBNMe2, NBOMe, NBF, NBCl, NBBr, NBCN, NBPy) appended with functional groups having various degrees of D/A characteristics were developed and their potential in controlling supramolecular assembly and condensed state luminescence features (>90 nm redshift in ) was explored. Plant proteins are a promising source for producing amphiphilic polypeptides with tailored techno-functional properties to be used in various food applications, such as fat replacers. This study investigated the effects of moderate enzymatic hydrolysis on amphiphilic polypeptide generation, by understanding the relationship of bioprocess - protein structure - functionality - amphiphilicity mechanism. The synthesis of bioactive oxazoles is often inefficient, and the reported methods remain largely unexplored for complex derivatives. To circumvent this issue, we have utilized a metal-free, photomediated [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction between diazo compounds and nitriles, leading to a step- and reagent-economical synthesis of bioactive oxazoles. These exciting developments guided us in the efficient synthesis of oxazole-based natural products like annuloline, alkaloids like pimprinethine, labradorin 2, and oxazole-containing pharmaceuticals such as oxaprozin.
