The influence of diagnostic and tactical errors on the survival has been studied in 86 patients with malignant tumors of the ovaries (stage I). It has been shown that the survival and the duration of life depend on the correctness of diagnosis and treatment, and diagnostic errors have a more substantial influence on the disease prognosis than tactical ones.

Uterine fibromyomas are characterized by a homogenous accumulation of a contrast substance by the tumor. In ovarian neoplasms the effect of tumor contrasting is frequently absent.
