[Effects of diagnostic and treatment errors on survival of patients with stage I malignant tumors of the ovary (data of the Tatarstan state oncological dispensary in Kazan)].

The influence of diagnostic and tactical errors on the survival has been studied in 86 patients with malignant tumors of the ovaries (stage I). It has been shown that the survival and the duration of life depend on the correctness of diagnosis and treatment, and diagnostic errors have a more substantial influence on the disease prognosis than tactical ones.

[Organ-preserving treatment in oncogynecology].

The paper discussed the results of organ-saving treatment carried out in 388 cases of cancer of the cervix uteri (Ca in situ), early endometrial carcinoma and stage IIa tumors of the ovary. The choice of the procedure should be made on reliable evidence on tumor extension and morphology. Favorable end results and preservation of reproductive function justify the use of said treatment and opens up new vistas in research.

[The role of the structural characteristics of ovarian dysgerminoma in its prognosis].

The paper discusses the results of a retrospective analysis of the clinical course of ovarian dysgerminoma. The clinical and morphological peculiarities of 22 cases were evaluated. The cases were identified as "classical", unmixed dysgerminoma.

[Clinical picture and treatment of ovarian dysgerminoma patients].

The data on 80 cases of ovarian dysgerminoma are presented. The average age of patients was 19.1.

[Infusion urography in the topical differential diagnosis of tumors of the internal genitalia].

The results of studying the infusion urography findings in 64 patients with ovarian tumors and uterine fibromyomas indicated the possibility of using this method in the topic diagnosis of tumors of internal genitalia due to the effect of contrasting. Uterine fibromyomas are characterized by a homogenous accumulation of a contrast substance by the tumor. In ovarian neoplasms the effect of tumor contrasting is frequently absent.
