The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between neurodevelopmental areas and possible difficulties in emotional-behavioural variables, and to determine if sex moderated this relationship. A community sample of 231 boys and girls with typical development and with a mean age of 19.84 months was evaluated, using the Bayley-III and CBCL 1.

Effectiveness of internet-delivered psychological treatments for children and adolescents with anxiety and/or depressive disorders: Systematic review and network meta-analysis.

Background: Anxiety and depression symptomatology has increased in the child and adolescent population. Internet-delivered psychological treatments (IDPT) can help to reduce this symptomatology, attending to the largest possible population.

This is normally assessed by teachers and primary caregivers, disregarding the self-perception of the adolescents themselves, which limits detection of this disorder at an evolutionary stage. Our aim was to analyze the psychometric properties of a self-report for ADHD in adolescence and its relationship with psychopathology and academic performance.

Phase 2 Clinical Trial of Infusing Haploidentical K562-mb15-41BBL-Activated and Expanded Natural Killer Cells as Consolidation Therapy for Pediatric Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia.

Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) accounts for approximately 20% of pediatric leukemia cases; 30% of these patients experience relapse. The antileukemia properties of natural killer (NK) cells and their safety profile have been reported in AML therapy. We proposed a phase 2, open, prospective, multicenter, nonrandomized clinical trial for the adoptive infusion of haploidentical K562-mb15-41BBL-activated and expanded NK (NKAE) cells as a consolidation strategy for children with favorable and intermediate risk AML in first complete remission after chemotherapy (NCT02763475).

Comparative in Mechanical Behavior of 6061 Aluminum Alloy Welded by Pulsed GMAW with Different Filler Metals and Heat Treatments.

Precipitation hardening aluminum alloys are used in many industries due to their excellent mechanical properties, including good weldability. During a welding process, the tensile strength of the joint is critical to appropriately exploit the original properties of the material. The welding processes are still under study, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) in pulsed metal-transfer configuration is one of the best choices to join these alloys.

Mother's IPV, Child Maltreatment Type and the Presence of PTSD in Children and Adolescents.

This correlational cross-sectional study was designed to investigate whether the intimate partner violence (IPV) suffered by mothers (physical and psychological maltreatment), child eyewitness of psychological and physical maltreatment suffered by the mother, the neglect suffered by children, and the maltreatment (physical and psychological) directly suffered by children are statistically associated to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms exhibited by the child. In addition, the prevalence of child PTSD was estimated, as well as the concordance between the PTSD symptoms assessed by the Child PTSD Symptom Scale (CPSS) and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, (DSM-IV-TR) criteria for child PTSD. The sample consisted of 152 Spanish children aged 8 to 17 and their mothers, who were recruited from Centers of Specialized Assistance for Women Victims of IPV.

Pharmacology and safety of glycerol phenylbutyrate in healthy adults and adults with cirrhosis.

Unlabelled: Phenylbutyric acid (PBA), which is approved for treatment of urea cycle disorders (UCDs) as sodium phenylbutyrate (NaPBA), mediates waste nitrogen excretion via combination of PBA-derived phenylacetic acid with glutamine to form phenylactylglutamine (PAGN) that is excreted in urine. Glycerol phenylbutyrate (GPB), a liquid triglyceride pro-drug of PBA, containing no sodium and having favorable palatability, is being studied for treatment of hepatic encephalopathy (HE). In vitro and clinical studies have been performed to assess GPB digestion, safety, and pharmacology in healthy adults and individuals with cirrhosis.

Phase 2 comparison of a novel ammonia scavenging agent with sodium phenylbutyrate in patients with urea cycle disorders: safety, pharmacokinetics and ammonia control.

Unlabelled: Glycerol phenylbutyrate (glyceryl tri (4-phenylbutyrate)) (GPB) is being studied as an alternative to sodium phenylbutyrate (NaPBA) for the treatment of urea cycle disorders (UCDs). This phase 2 study explored the hypothesis that GPB offers similar safety and ammonia control as NaPBA, which is currently approved as adjunctive therapy in the chronic management of UCDs, and examined correlates of 24-h blood ammonia.

Methods: An open-label, fixed sequence switch-over study was conducted in adult UCD patients taking maintenance NaPBA.

Calcium and phosphate adsorption as initial steps of apatite nucleation on sol-gel-prepared titania surface.

Titania powders have been prepared by the sol-gel route from Ti (IV) ethoxide under acidic conditions. Adsorption experiments of calcium and phosphate ions on gel-derived titania suspensions were performed to suggest a likely initial step of apatite growth on its surface. Experiments were performed as a function of time and pH at 37 degrees C with and without NaCl present in the suspensions.
