Fosfomycin-resistant FosA8-producing are uncommon strains with extremely low incidence in Europe, based on only three reports in the literature. We detected FosA8-producing ST131 in clinical isolates from two patients admitted in February 2023 to a rehabilitation unit in Italy. The occurrence of rare -like genes in the high-risk clone ST131 is of clinical relevance.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate potential strategies aimed at a clinical and biochemical characterization of UH patients.
Methods: We compared 36 patients with UH with a control group of 14 patients with chronic autoimmune thyroiditis (CAT) and subclinical hypothyroidism.
Objective: Provocative stimulation tests for growth hormone (GH) assessment have poor reproducibility and can often elicit false positive results in normal children. The aim of our study was to confirm the capability of pegvisomant as an enhancer of GH secretion in unmasking false-positive results in short children (height <-2.0 standard deviation score, SDS) undergoing GH testing.
