Background: Basal-cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer and its incidence is still rising worldwide. Surgery is the most frequently used treatment for BCC, but large randomised controlled trials with 5-year follow-up to compare treatment modalities are rare. We did a prospective randomised controlled trial to compare the effectiveness of surgical excision with Mohs' micrographic surgery (MMS) for the treatment of primary and recurrent facial BCC.

A male newborn had a large cerebriform tumor covering his shoulders and almost the entire surface of his back. After exclusion of further abnormalities, the diagnosis of cerebriform intradermal nevus was made. This particular variant of giant melanocytic nevus should always be differentiated from cutis verticis gyrata, if located on the vertex.

Objective: To describe a benign fibrous histiocytoma of bone and the differential diagnostic considerations based on the authors' case report.

Summary Of Background Data: A BFH is a rare tumor composed of varying degree of fibroblast-like spindle cells, foam cells, and multinucleated giant cells.
