Background And Purpose: Preoperative partial breast irradiation (PBI) is a novel technique that can be used in patients with early-stage breast cancer with the goal of limiting the irradiated breast volume, toxicity and number of fractions. The aim of this trial is to assess the toxicity, surgical, oncologic and cosmetic outcomes of preoperative PBI.

Materials And Methods: In this single-arm phase II trial, we enrolled women ≥ 60 years, with unifocal low-risk breast invasive ductal carcinoma (cT1N0, grade 1-2, ER+, Her2-).

Impact of melanoma diagnosis on sun-awareness and protection: efficacy of education campaigns in a high-risk population.

Background: Malignant melanoma is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Sun-awareness campaigns increase public knowledge but may not translate into behavioral changes in practice, which is particularly alarming when reported for individuals in high-risk groups. In particular, patients diagnosed with melanoma are at increased risk of developing subsequent primary melanomas compared with the general population.

A 75 year-old uncircumcised man presented with a 1.1mm thick malignant melanoma on the ventral aspect of the glans penis. He underwent isosulfan blue and technetium 99m guided sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy and distal penectomy with 2 cm margins.
