- Central aortic systolic pressure (CASP) was measured in 74 dialysis patients to assess its relationship with vascular calcification and blood pressure measurements.
- No significant differences in ambulatory CASP were found between patients with or without coronary or aortic calcification.
- Inter-dialytic blood pressure and CASP showed a strong correlation with ambulatory measurements, suggesting that vascular calcification does not affect CASP in this group of patients.
