[A man with fever and a periorbital swelling].

We report a 44-year-old man with a diagnosis of right-sided periorbital cellulitis caused by a group A β-hemolytic streptococcus who developed severe eyelid necrosis. After intravenous antibiotic treatment and necrotomy, reconstructive eyelid surgery was needed.

Donor-to-host transmitted Candida endophthalmitis after penetrating keratoplasty.

Objective: To report the first case of Candida albicans endophthalmitis following penetrating keratoplasty after warm preservation.

Design: Observational case report.

Methods: We reviewed the patient's chart and the available literature on fungal endophthalmitis after keratoplasty.
