Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine if employing a home healthcare model for education and treatment of opioid overdose using the Evzio (Naloxone) auto-injector in a private practice pain clinic.
Methods: A prospective survey was used to determine the feasibility of integrating a naloxone auto-injector within the patient's home with a home care training model. Twenty moderate or high-risk patients were enrolled from the chronic pain clinic.
Background: Patient satisfaction is used to measure physician performance in hospital and governmental practice settings. There is limited understanding about factors affecting satisfaction in a chronic pain management setting for patients prescribed chronic opioids.
Objective: To identify the determinants of patient satisfaction and correlation with recommended outcome measures in a private practice pain management clinic.

Design: Retrospective chart review was performed on three consecutive soldiers who received neuroablation of the lumbar ZP joint. Patients received single MBB with 1 cc of 1% lidocaine at the b/l L3-L5 levels considered diagnostic if >50% analgesia was achieved concordant with duration of anesthetic.
Background: Ropivacaine is a long-acting local anesthetic used frequently for peripheral nerve blocks and continuous peripheral nerve block catheters. Combat trauma patients at Walter Reed Army Medical Center often receive continuous peripheral nerve block catheters as part of their pain regimen. These catheters remain in situ for several days to weeks.

Methods: The exchange transfusions were performed as a stepped reduction in blood volume to attain volume exchanges of 10%, 30%, and 50% with a 1:1 replacement with HBOC-201 (n = 8) or oncotically matched 5.9% human serum albumin (HSA, n = 8).
Four active duty military personnel and two retired soldiers/military contractors were treated with spinal or peripheral nerve stimulators. All six personnel were able to deploy after the stimulators were placed. Five patients had no incidents during their deployments.

Yet, whereas open-label studies with systemically delivered tumor necrosis factor inhibitors have yielded positive results, a placebo-controlled study failed to demonstrate efficacy. Clinical Presentation: A 48-year-old male with a history of hypertension and 3 prior failed spine surgeries underwent a trial of spinal cord stimulation for uncontrolled bilateral lower extremity neuropathic pain. Two days after the placement of the percutaneous stimulator lead the patient returned complaining of 3 syncopal episodes.
Background: Sacroiliac joint pain is a challenging condition accounting for approximately 20% of cases of chronic low back pain. Currently, there are no effective long-term treatment options for sacroiliac joint pain.
Methods: A randomized placebo-controlled study was conducted in 28 patients with injection-diagnosed sacroiliac joint pain.
