From the last decade, research on dehydroacetic acid (DHA) and its derivatives has increased immensely due to its significant role in various fields, including medicine, cosmetics, food industry, and so on. In the medicinal area, DHA plays an essential role in developing novel action-based drugs, which are helpful for treating various diseases. Methods: A community-based cross-sectional study was done in two phases. In the first phase, 50 married women attending Gynecology OPD were asked to use reusable sanitary napkins for 2 months.
Background: Routine placement of indwelling catheter preoperatively in Caesarean Section is being practiced without justified scientific evidence.
Aim: To evaluate the effect of routine indwelling catheterization on the postoperative ambulation, morbidity and hospital stay in women undergoing Caesarean section.
Settings And Design: Case-Control study carried in a tertiary teaching hospital.
Myotonic dystrophy is a rare heredodegenerative muscular disorder in which pregnancy is unusual. Because of the autosomal dominant inheritance of the disease, 50% of children of an affected parent may have the disease; 20% of them are asymptomatic at birth. Foetal involvement may be manifested by polyhydramnios, arthrogryposis multiplex in utero, respiratory difficulties, and floppiness at birth.
