Inhaled methoxyflurane (Penthrox) for analgesia in trauma: a systematic review protocol.

Background: More than 75% of patients presenting to the Emergency Department are suffering symptoms of pain. Despite this, 67% will not receive any analgesia. Methoxyflurane is a fluorinated hydrocarbon gas which has analgesic properties when inhaled.

Using Fully-Immersive Simulation Training with Structured Debrief to Improve Nontechnical Skills in Emergency Endovascular Surgery.

Objective: Assess whether fully-immersive simulation training with structured debriefing of a standardized emergency thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) scenario improves team-work performance of the lead surgeon. Secondary aims: assess whether technical skills (TS) and radiation safety behaviors (RSB) improved concurrently.

Design: Pre-post study.

Neuropathic-like pain in psoriatic arthritis: evidence of abnormal pain processing.

Objectives: The primary objective was to investigate the prevalence of neuropathic-like pain in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Secondary outcomes were to investigate whether mood, fatigue, pain, disease severity and fibromyalgia are associated with neuropathic-like pain in PsA patients.

Methods: PsA patients were assessed for fatigue, mood, pain, disease activity and fibromyalgia using questionnaires.
