Background: Radiation-induced oral mucositis is one of the most critical dose-limiting toxicities associated with radiation therapy for oral cancer which can result in treatment interruption and compromise the quality of the life of cancer patients. Jati (Jasminum grandiflorum) is used in Ayurveda to treat oral conditions like stomatitis and mouth ulcers.

During summer months, many parts of the world experience the water crisis and water tankers transport fresh drinking water from rivers and other reservoirs and distribute to communities often located at far off places. Effectiveness of this distribution is adversely affected by the instability of tankers due to the phenomenon called liquid sloshing, the oscillation of free liquid surface subjected to external excitation. The liquid within the tank moves along the side walls back and forth creating an oscillation which becomes dangerously worse at certain situations.

We report the capillary flow enhancement in rectangular polymer microchannels, when one of the channel walls is a deformable polymer membrane. We provide detailed insight into the physics of elastocapillary interaction between the capillary flow and elastic membrane, which leads to significant improvements in capillary flow performance. As liquid flows by capillary action in such channels, the deformable wall deflects inwards due to the Young-Laplace pressure drop across the liquid meniscus.

We investigated the frequency based mediator-free glucose sensor in the radio-frequency (RF) range. Frequency dependent power signal showed clear dependence on the glucose concentration with free enzymatic condition. Also, the passive electrical components such as the resistance, inductance, shunt conductance, and capacitance were extracted based on the transmission line model for further analysis.
