Background: Giant prolactinomas are rare; among them, the amyloidogenic variant, prolactinomas with extensive spherical amyloid deposits, are rare, with only 30 cases reported with recommendations of surgical management contrary to the routine prolactinoma's medical management.

Case Description: We report here a case of giant amyloidogenic prolactinoma in a 32-year-old male patient who had a very atypical presentation in terms of clinical, radiological, and pathological features and responded to dopamine agonist therapy like a normal prolactinoma.

Conclusion: Amyloidogenic giant prolactinomas are rare.

We report a first and interesting case of balloon-assisted deployment of a dislodged coronary stent. While performing a calcified left circumflex coronary artery (LCX) intervention, the drug-eluting coronary stent was dislodged in the osteoproximal segment of the calcified and tortuous LCX. The dislodged stent was rewired, progressively dilated with multiple balloons and, finally, a larger, balloon-mounted stent was pushed forward, positioned across the coronary lesion and deployed, resulting in distal thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) III flow with good angiographic results.

Article Synopsis
  • - The demand for advanced gas sensors is growing across fields like environmental monitoring, healthcare, and industrial safety, prompting research into materials like ternary alloy indium aluminum nitride (InAlN) for improved sensing capabilities.
  • - This study focuses on creating and analyzing InAlN nanorods on sapphire substrates, utilizing magnetron sputter epitaxy to control indium composition and explore their effectiveness for detecting acetone, a key gas in medical and industrial contexts.
  • - Findings show that these InAlN nanorods can sense acetone effectively, achieving a 2.33% sensor response at 600 ppm concentration with a quick 18-second response time, highlighting their potential for various practical applications.

The understanding and prevalence of cardiac channelopathies has grown over time. Many patients are asymptomatic but are at risk for malignant arrhythmias during high-acuity medical admissions. Long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia are discussed with specific consideration given for the role these medical conditions play during an intensive care unit admission-for either cardiac or noncardiac reasons.

Spinel ZnGaO films were grown on c-plane sapphire substrates at the substrate temperature of 400 °C by radio-frequency magnetron sputtering. Post thermal annealing was employed at the annealing temperature of 700 °C in order to enhance their crystal quality. The effect of thermal annealing on the microstructural and optoelectronic properties of ZnGaO films was systematically investigated in various ambiences, such as air, nitrogen, and oxygen.

Background: The spinal accessory nerve (XI) is traditionally considered a motor nerve. However, as some studies have documented the presence of nociceptive fibers in XI, vascular XI neural compression may lead to an atypical neuralgia.

Case Description: A 27-year-old male presented with a Chiari Type I malformation contributing to interscapular pain.

Microclimatic factors are of crucial aspect for the welfare of animals. Therefore, a study was conducted to assess the effect of altered ambient temperature through shelter modifications on physiological indicators of Malpura lambs reared in the semi-arid region during winter. Twenty-one Malpura lambs of 3-5 week age and average body weight 9.

In the hot semi-arid tropical region, extreme summer is a major constraint in sheep production. The growth performance of growing lambs is impaired during the summer. Therefore, the present study was conducted to assess the effect of protection against hot climate on growth performance, physiological response, and endocrine profile of growing lambs under semi-arid tropical environment.
