Acute pain management following major head and neck (HN) surgery is complex. Multimodal analgesia (MMA) regimens including acetaminophen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, gabapentinoids, and locoregional anesthetics are safe and effective in this population (including patients undergoing HN free flap surgery).
