- The study aimed to assess the occurrence, malignancy rates, and characteristics of new calcifications in breasts treated with breast-conserving therapy (BCT) following surgery from 2009 to 2010.
- A total of 735 breasts in 732 women were analyzed, revealing that 21.1% developed new calcifications, with a malignancy rate of 5.2% for these new calcifications.
- The research found that malignant calcifications typically appeared later than benign ones, and the malignancy risk was notably higher for calcifications outside the original surgery site compared to those at or near the lumpectomy site.
Importance: Physical examination misses up to one-third of ventral hernia recurrences seen on radiologic imaging. However, tests such as computed tomographic (CT) imaging are subject to interpretation and require validation of interobserver reliability.
Objective: To determine the interobserver reliability of CT scans for detecting a ventral hernia recurrence among surgeons and radiologists.
This paper explores hotel employees' perception on work-life balance issues. In-depth interviews and self-administered questionnaires were used to collect the data. Factor analysis discovered seven factors: (1) enough time-off from work; (2) workplace support on work-life balance; (3) allegiance to work; (4) flexibility on work schedule; (5) life orientation; (6) voluntary reduction of contracted hours to cater for personal needs; and (7) upkeep the work and career-the determinants perceived by employees to attain "better" work-life balance in the dynamic hotel environment.
