Introduction: There are numerous methods available to assist surgeons in the accurate correction of varus alignment during medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO). Preoperative planning performed with radiographs or more recently intraoperative computer navigation software has been used. Methods: A systematic review of the electronic databases Medline, Embase, and The Cochrane Library (issue 1, 2014) on January 13, 2014, was performed to identify controlled and uncontrolled trials.
Purpose: To establish the rate of use of various void fillers in the setting of opening-wedge osteotomy around the knee, the types of fixation used, and the rates of delayed union or nonunion related to these variables. In addition, this review addressed short-term to midterm outcomes and complication rates associated with such procedures.
Methods: The electronic databases Medline, Embase, and PubMed were searched using the methodology for systematic review as recommended by the Cochrane Collaboration.

Purpose: The principal aim of this study was to report the outcomes of medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction, used as either an isolated procedure or in combination with another stabilization procedure, for the primary treatment of recurrent patellar instability.
Methods: Between 2007 and 2012, 45 patients with recurrent patellar instability and no prior stabilization surgery had an MPFL reconstruction by a single surgeon, either as an isolated procedure or in combination with another stabilization procedure. Questionnaires detailing patellar instability since surgery, knee pain, ability to negotiate stairs, and sports participation were completed, and data regarding examination and radiological findings were collected from the medical record.
Background: Graft rupture of the same knee or injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the contralateral knee is a devastating outcome after ACL reconstruction surgery. While a number of factors have been identified as potentially increasing the risk of subsequent ACL injury, the literature is far from definitive.
Purpose: To determine the rates of graft rupture and contralateral ACL injury in a large cohort and to investigate patient characteristics that may be associated with these.
