Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates late rectal and urinary toxicities in prostate cancer patients who underwent intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) at different radiation doses (70Gy, 74Gy, and 80Gy) and aims to find predictors of radiation toxicity and biochemical progression-free survival (bPFS).
  • The results show that after a median follow-up of 77 months, the cumulative rate of late grade ≥2 rectal and urinary toxicities was 6.3% and 25.3%, respectively, with only dose and baseline symptom scores influencing the likelihood of these toxicities.
  • Biochemical relapse-free survival rates after five years were substantial, varying by risk group (97.5% for low, 84
