Background: To conduct a comprehensive assessment of real patient data undergoing the procedure within a healthcare provider, integrating both costs and care stages related to bariatric surgery, emphasizing the relevance of analysis by Diagnosis-related group (DRG).
Methods: Prospective study of patients coded by DRG within a network of providers accredited to a Brazilian healthcare provider. All patients coded with metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) between 01/2019 and 06/2023 and undergoing gastrectomy procedure were included for analysis.
To date, there is insufficient evidence to explain the role of adenosinergic receptors in the reconsolidation of long-term spatial memory. In this work, the role of the adenosinergic receptor family (A1, A2A, A2B, and A3) in this process has been elucidated. It was demonstrated that when infused bilaterally into the hippocampal CA1 region immediately after an early nonreinforced test session performed 24 h posttraining in the Morris water maze task, adenosine can cause anterograde amnesia for recent and late long-term spatial memory.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAlzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative condition that causes changes in memory and cognition, in addition to behavioral disorders, and most commonly affects the elderly. Several studies in the literature have presented therapeutic measures in an attempt to interfere with the pathogenic mechanisms of the disease and to mitigate its clinical manifestations. Some factors, such as excitotoxicity, cholinergic dysfunctions, oxidative stress, tau protein hyperphosphorylation, changes in amyloid-beta peptide metabolism, herpes viruses, apolipoprotein E, glycogen synthase kinase 3, insulin resistance, and the endocannabinoid system seem to be related to pathophysiology of Alzheimer's disease.
