[Neurosyphilis].

This review focuses on typical and atypical manifestations of neurosyphilis. The manifestations of neurosyphilis are manyfold and may involve many specialties. Today, clinicians have limited experience with the well-described manifestations of neurosyphilis.

[Severe skin rash in patients treated with terbinafine].

We report on five cases of severe skin rash in patients treated with oral terbinafine. Four patients were treated without mycological testing. Two patients were diagnosed with candidiasis on the skin or in the fingernails and were incorrectly treated with terbinafine.

Incidence, clinical presentation and treatment of neurosyphilis in Denmark 1980-1997.

Neurosyphilis is now a rare disease in the developed countries. In Denmark 92 cases of neurosyphilis were identified in the period 1980-1997. We obtained the hospital records for 77 of these patients and studied the clinical presentation, treatment and result of the treatment.
