Survival from breast cancer has continued to increase since the 1990's, and quality of life and gynecologic issues have been an increasingly important part of overall care. Common women's health issues such as contraception, pregnancy, menopause, and sexual functioning are uniquely affected by breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Two-thirds of breast cancers are hormone-sensitive and adjuvant hormonal therapies like tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors have substantially decreased the disease recurrence and contralateral breast cancer.

Rechargeable seawater battery (SWB) is a unique energy storage system that can directly transform seawater into renewable energy. Placing a desalination compartment between SWB anode and cathode (denoted as seawater battery desalination; SWB-D) enables seawater desalination while charging SWB. Since seawater desalination is a mature technology, primarily occupied by membrane-based processes such as reverse osmosis (RO), the energy cost has to be considered for alternative desalination technologies.

Objective: Localizing expressive language function has been challenging using the conventional magnetoencephalography (MEG) source modeling methods. The present MEG study presents a new accurate and precise approach in localizing the language areas using a high-resolution MEG source imaging method.

Purpose: Working memory (WM) represents the brain's ability to maintain information in a readily available state for short periods of time. This study examines the resting-state cortical activity patterns that are most associated with performance on a difficult working-memory task.

Methods: Magnetoencephalographic (MEG) band-passed (delta/theta (1-7 Hz), alpha (8-13 Hz), beta (14-30 Hz)) and sensor based regional power was collected in a population of adult men (18-28 yrs, n = 24) in both an eyes-closed and eyes-open resting state.
