United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, in his address to the UN General Assembly called the world leaders to bridge the divide among generations. There is no current issue that divides the generations more, than the urgency of climate action and accelerating clean energy transition. With the COP26 in Glasgow behind us, and less than 10 months until COP27 in Sharm-el Sheikh what can and should be done to encourage this inter-generational dialogue? Deoxynivalenol (DON) is a type B trichothecene, produced by the Fusarium species. Exposure to DON might cause disruptive effects such as reduced weight gain, neuroendocrine changes and immune modulation in animals (rats, dogs, pigs). There is huge concern that similar effects can be observed in humans.

Introduction: Surgical excision of adrenocortical tumour in patients with ACTH-independent Cushing syndrome gives a chance for their entire cure. However in some patients after adrenalectomy persistent arterial hypertension, obesity and diabetes mellitus is observed. The aim of the study was to analyse long term consequences of surgical excision of cortisol producing adrenocortical adenoma with a special attention on the influence of adrenalectomy on arterial blood pressure.
