Background: Many researchers have expressed concerns about ethical tensions in occupational therapy practice; yet little research has considered this topic from the perspective of students.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the nature of ethical tensions witnessed or experienced by occupational therapy students during practice education. METHOD.
Purpose: To report the clinical, confocal microscopic, and histologic appearance of a case of Beauveria bassiana keratitis and response to medical therapy.
Methods: A 58-year-old woman with a 1-month history of a recalcitrant contact lens-related corneal ulcer was evaluated by confocal microscopy and corneal scraping for histology and culture.
Results: Confocal microscopy and histology revealed a filamentous fungal keratitis confirmed by culture as B.
Purpose: To describe a case of bilateral keratoconus occurring after LASIK in a keratoconus suspect.
Method: Case report.
Results: A 33-year-old male presented to our institution for evaluation of poor vision 4 years after undergoing bilateral LASIK for the treatment of compound myopic astigmatism.
Purpose: To present a small kindred with a unique dominantly inherited corneal stromal dystrophy.
Methods: A 31-year-old man was noted to have bilateral, symmetric, central discoid corneal stromal opacification. We performed bilateral penetrating keratoplasties for decreased visual acuity, glare, and photophobia.
Purpose: To report a case of porphyria cutanea tarda presenting as cicatricial conjunctivitis.
Design: Observational study.
Methods: A 31-year-old man presented with bilateral inferior symblepharon, superior tarsal conjunctival scarring and concretions, and recurrent conjunctival and episcleral injection.
