Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates a case of Mpox virus keratitis in a 35-year-old man using in vivo confocal microscopy (IVCM), detailing the clinical symptoms and endothelial involvement.
  • The patient experienced significant eye issues like pain, redness, and low visual acuity after a 6-week Mpox infection, with IVCM findings indicating inflammation and altercations in the corneal endothelial layer.
  • The results underscore the importance of IVCM for early identification of endotheliitis related to Mpox, suggesting that patients with corneal epithelial damage are at risk for this condition before developing severe keratitis.
