Pain Relief in Late Preterm Neonates: A Comparative Study of Kangaroo Mother Care, Oral Dextrose 50%, and Supine Nesting Position.

Objective: The objectrve is to compare the analgesic effect of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), oral dextrose 50% (D50) and supine nesting position in late preterm neonates (34 week to <37 week Gestation Age) while doing heel prick for blood glucose monitoring.

Materials And Methods: Babies were randomized into three groups; KMC, D50 and supine nesting. Premature infant pain profile (PIPP) score was used to measure pain severity following heel prick.

Alteration of Smell and Taste Sensations in Covid-19 Positive Patients: A Prospective Cohort Study in Western India.

Loss/alteration of Smell and taste sensation is common in CoViD-19 infection. We conducted present study to find out the frequency, onset and severity of these lost sensations and their recovery in mild, moderate and severe COVID 19 positive patients in our setup. A questionnaire based study on 574 COVID-19 positive patients admitted in a dedicated COVID hospital between September-November, 2020 were followed up until their sensations recovered completely or maximum for two months.

Simulated Patients for Competency-Based Undergraduate Medical Education Post COVID-19: A New Normal in India.

The conventional medical curriculum in India needed more focus on explicit teaching and assessment of interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, team-work and reflection for prevention and better management of increasing incidences of violence against doctors by building good doctor-patient relationships. Use of SNAPPS Model for Pediatric Outpatient Education.

Objective: To assess and compare the educational effectiveness of SNAPPS model with traditional method in developing reasoning skills of Pediatric residents in Out-patient department.

Methods: 40 case presentations with 4 residents (20 each with traditional and SNAPPS methods) were audiotaped and compared with respect to making differentials, reasoning for analyzing differentials, raising uncertainties by probing preceptor, and selecting case-related issues for self study. Residents feedback was collected using a self-designed proforma.

ARDS has a high mortality worldwide and in India various studies suggest that mortality in children is as high as 73-75%. Different lung protective ventilation strategies have recently been adopted to reduce mortality.
