Development, validity and reliability of instrument to evaluate implementation fidelity of the Family Doctor Concept (FDC) programme in public primary care clinics in Malaysia.

Introduction: The Family Doctor Concept (FDC) programme was introduced to public primary care clinics in late 2013 as part of the reform agenda in the primary healthcare delivery system. The study aimed to develop a validated and reliable instrument to evaluate the FDC implementation fidelity in primary care clinics.

Methods: The instrument, which adapted the concept of patient-centred care (PCC), resulted from a series of expert discussions, a literature search, an FDC guideline, and a review of meeting minutes.

Physical activity is the first line approach and one of the main factors in preventing chronic diseases. Currently there is the increasing percentage of sedentary life style or lack of exercise among adolescents. The main objectives of the study were to determine the prevalence of inactivity and the factors influencing physical activity in adolescents.

A study on organizational factors that influence job stress among medical laboratory technologists in klang valley hospitals.

A cross-sectional study on organizational factors that influences job stress was carried out among Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT) in Klang Valley's Hospitals. There were three organizational factors that were measured, interpersonal factor, job condition and career development. A total of 249 respondents participated in this study, 126 were from the private hospitals and 123 from the government hospitals.

Comparing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and ureteroscopy for treatment of proximal ureteric calculi: a cost-effectiveness study.

Extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) and ureteroscopy (URS) are two main methods of treating proximal ureteric stones. Success rates and cost-effectiveness of the two methods were compared. A total of 67 patients who underwent treatment between January 2007 and July 2007 at a state general hospital were included in the study.
