Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a diagnosis of exclusion characterized by features of raised intracranial pressure (ICP) in the absence of brain parenchymal lesion, vascular malformations, hydrocephalus, or central nervous system (CNS) infection. Commonly used other terms for this entity include benign intracranial hypertension (BIH) or pseudotumor cerebri. Few case reports of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) presenting as IIH are available in the literature.

Introduction: Lupus anticoagulant hypoprothrombinemia syndrome (LAHPS) is a rare phenomenon that leads to concomitant thrombosis and hemorrhage in children with SLE. LAHPS in pediatric SLE (pSLE) has a protracted course requiring long-term immunosuppressive therapy. Methods: This is a retrospective cohort analysis of 847 nondiabetic post-MI survivors who underwent a predischarge oral glucose tolerance test (median PGS: 2.4 mmol/L).
Objective: To assess improvement in predictive performance of Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events risk score (GRS) by addition of a glucose matrix.
Methods: 1,056 acute coronary syndrome (ACS) survivors without known diabetes had pre-discharge fasting (FPG) and 2-h post-load plasma glucose (2h-PG) measured. GRS was calculated.
Aims: Investigate if abnormal glucose tolerance (AGT) affects post-myocardial infarction (MI) prognosis in patients with hospital-related hyperglycaemia (HRH) but without known diabetes mellitus (KDM).
Methods: Post-MI survivors without KDM underwent pre-discharge oral glucose tolerance test. Cardiovascular death and non-fatal re-infarction (MACE) were recorded.

Methods: A total of 674 patients were followed up for 4 years for incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) of cardiovascular death, non-fatal re-infarction or non-haemorrhagic stroke. Ability of models including APG, FPG and 2h-PG to predict MACE was compared.
Amyloidosis is a systemic disorder characterized by the deposition of mis-folded protein molecules within various organs. Cardiac involvement may be the presenting feature of this condition or may be identified incidentally during investigation for amyloidosis affecting other organs. The presence and severity of cardiac involvement varies with the type of amyloidosis.
