Rubella infections are rarely seen where immunization programmes are in place. Congenital rubella syndrome is however still observed where the vaccination programme against rubella is not administered or interrupted. We present such a case, with typical clinical anomalies including congenital cataracts, sensorineural hearing loss and bone lesions.

Nocardia spp is a gram-positive aerobic filamentous bacteria that causes pulmonary and systemic infections, especially in patients with immunosuppression or chronic lung diseases. Bufavirus (BuV) is a newly-identified parvovirus in the family of Parvoviridae. Metagenomic analysis of fecal samples from children in Burkina Faso with acute diarrhea showed a highly divergent parvovirus, which was named bufavirus (BuV). The global distribution, epidemiology and genetic characteristics of BuVs infections are obscure.
