Retinoic acid, a derivative of vitamin A, is known to possess anti-inflammatory, anti-platelet and fibrinolytic activities. We have investigated the thrombin and platelet aggregation inhibitory activities of vitamin A (retinol) and its derivatives, retinoic acid and retinaldehyde.
