Purpose: The efficacy and safety of drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) and conventional TACE (c-TACE) in the treatment of patients with unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) remained controversial. Therefore, we aimed to compare the efficacy and safety between c-TACE and DEB-TACE among patients with ICC.
Method: Between June 10, 2016 and November 19, 2022, consecutive patients with pathological diagnoses of ICC were divided into the DEB-TACE group and the c-TACE group based on the type of TACE treatment they received.
Objective: Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is one of the most serious complications of diabetes. Leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF) is a second-generation autologous platelet-rich plasma. This study aims to investigate the clinical effects of L-PRF in patients with diabetes in real clinical practice.

Initially, the left lateral lobectomy of the liver was performed. The post-operative pathological examination revealed NET G2, leading to the post-operative recovery with a general review.

However, the survival benefit of SYS is still limited. This study compared the efficacy and safety of patients with unresectable ICC treated with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) plus SYS to SYS alone.

Overall, 68 APA and 60 NAA patients were randomly assigned (8:2 ratio) to either a training or a test cohort. In the training cohort, univariate and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression analyses were conducted to select the significant features.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the duration of the hepatic artery catheterization, fluoroscopy time (FT), radiation exposure, safety, and quality of life associated with the procedure in patients undergoing HAIC via TRA and TFA.
Purpose: Patients with unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) have poor survival. Conventional transarterial chemoembolization (c-TACE) and drug-eluting beads transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) are two treatment options for ICC, and this systematic review describes the efficacy of each of these modalities for unresectable ICC to guide clinical practice.
Methods: A literature search was performed in PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase databases regarding transhepatic arterial chemoembolization for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
Background: Prognostic evaluation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) after Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization (TACE) using Drug-Eluting Beads (DEBs) is essential for guiding the personalized treatment and follow-up strategy. Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) has been reported as a biomarker in conventional TACE.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of ADC, ADC change, and ADC in predicting the early objective response for HCC after DEB-TACE.
Background: Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is defined as an acquired autoimmune disease characterized by isolated thrombocytopenia. This work is to further clarify the relationship between T cell immune dysfunction and the pathogenesis of ITP.
Methods: 37 adult patients with ITP were selected and were classified into newly diagnosed ITP (nITP, n = 13), persistent ITP (pITP, n = 6) and chronic ITP (cITP n = 18).
Background: Since Gleason score (GS) 4 + 3 prostate cancer (PCa) has a worse prognosis than GS 3 + 4 PCa, differentiating these two types of PCa is of clinical significance.
Objective: To assess the predictive roles of using T2WI and ADC-derived image texture parameters in differentiating GS 3 + 4 from GS 4 + 3 PCa.
Methods: Forty-eight PCa patients of GS 3 + 4 and 37 patients of GS 4 + 3 are retrieved and randomly divided into training (60%) and testing (40%) sets.
Background: The role of adrenal venous sampling (AVS) has been challenged by some recent evidence. This study aimed to compare the role of AVS and computed tomography (CT) in the management of primary aldosteronism.
Methods: Patients who underwent unilateral adrenalectomy for primary aldosteronism at a single center between January 2015 and December 2018 were included, and postoperative outcomes of the patients who underwent surgery based on CT (n = 195) or AVS (n = 40) were compared.
Rationale And Objectives: To investigate the feasibility of oxygen-challenge blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at 3T for evaluating the early change of blood oxygenation before and after transcatheter arterial embolization (TACE) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Materials And Methods: Thirty HCC patients with cirrhosis (HCC group, n = 30) and 30 healthy volunteers (control group, n = 30) were included in this study. Patients in the HCC group underwent BOLD before and 1 month after TACE.
Purpose: To discuss postoperative thrombocytopenia in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) through transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) with single application of Lobaplatin as chemotherapy drug.
Methods: The study retrospectively analyzed 1,945 HCC patients treated with TACE in our hospital from May 2013 to May 2018. The number of first-time users of lobaplatin reached 128, the second-time users reached 417, the third-time and above users 239.
Background: The ultimate goal of locoregional therapy (LRT) to the liver is to induce total tumor necrosis. Trans-arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is the mainstay bridging therapy for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) waiting for liver transplantation (LT). However, tumor response rate is variable.

Methods: From June 2014 to June 2016, patients with cirrhotic nodules were identified retrospectively and MR images were reviewed by sub-specialty radiologists according to modified LIRADS v2014. Correlation between nodules of LIRADS category ≥3 and DSA findings and lipiodol deposits were analyzed.
Purpose: To explore the morphological and functional characteristics of prostatic arterial embolization (PAE) in a canine model of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with 3T multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mp-MRI) and whole-mount step-section pathology correlation.
Materials And Methods: Eight adult male beagle dogs with hormone-induced BPH underwent 3T mp-MRI before and 1, 3, and 6 months after PAE, with subsequent whole-mount step-section pathologic assessment. Images were acquired using T -weighted images (T WI), T WI, 3D-SPACE, diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI), T -mapping, and dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) sequences.

Objective: To explore the efficiency of single application of lobaplatin in tran-scatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) for patients with a primary hepatic carcinoma who were unable or unwilling to undergo surgery.
Methods: 173 patients with primary hepatic carcinoma diagnosed by imaging or pathology were randomly divided into experimental and control groups and respectively treated with lobaplatin and pirarubicin hydrochloride as chemotherapeutic drugs for TACE. The amount of iodipin was regulated according to the tumor number and size, and then gelatin sponge or polyvinyl alcohol particles were applied for embolisms.

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate if Gadolinium-enhanced MRI can detect early reversible ischemia of the femoral head epiphysis caused by hip hyper-abduction in piglets. Between 3 and 6 h consistent hyper-abduction, gadolinium-enhanced MRI was performed in 20 femoral heads of 10 piglets. After completion of MRI scan, the piglets were allowed to ambulate freely for 1 or 7 days and re-imaged.

To evaluate the normal appearance of epiphyseal and physeal cartilage on Gadolinium (Gd)-enhanced MR imaging. The appearance and enhancement ratios of 20 proximal and distal femoral epiphyses in 10 normal piglets were analyzed on Gd-enhanced MR images. The correlation of the MR imaging appearance with corresponding histological findings of immature epiphyses was examined.
